One of the limitations of my rough stats is that when one runner appears to have an outstanding chance against a fair number of better value rivals (in this case I had it as 1 versus 6), the number of occasions when the favoured runner has failed brings down the stakes computation amount. It's a safety feature, in reality, but you can be left with a strong feeling that you 'should' have invested more than you did. Hey ho.
